I like this question. I don’t think Marcus’s dad will go back to war because HE JUST GOT BACK. I think he’ll be staying home for a while, since he won’t even leave the house. And he needs all the time he can to adjust back into family life. If he were to go off to war again though, I think the family will feel a hundred times worse, like giving a starving dog a steak then taking it again, disappointed. Also, I think the dad would break down. He’s already border-line crazy ( the part in Marcus’s room in the storm made me think he was absolutely insane.) And going back to what made him like that will just make him worse.
